Noise pollution

Noise pollution can be an issue in environments such as airports, helicopter cockpits, ship engine rooms, power plants, the manufacturing industry and combat situations. SAVOX Communications has products incorporating active and passive as well as digital and analogue noise reduction.

The simplest methods are two-microphone systems that sort out background noise, and passive hearing protectors or other mechanical means of limiting noise. A more advanced solution is to use a digital signal processor to analyse the sound and actively reduce the noise. When a counter sound is created in ear protectors, the noise level is attenuated considerably compared to passive protection.
