Quality of design means desired results on time and in budget

In design, quality means that the end product fulfils or exceeds the requirements set by customers, authorities and the company itself. What’s more, the development process has to be completed within the agreed schedule and according to the agreed costs.

A product with all the requisite features and functionality will not fit our definition of quality until it is also feasible to manufacture. Quality is in the whole process as much as in the details.
