Savox and Distance Technologies Demonstrate Connected Situational Awareness Concept for Vehicle Crews
The concept combines Savox's expertise in vehicle crew communications with Distance Technologies' Field Operator HUD and Acuity OS software platform. Centered around the new Savox Noise-COM 900 Combat Vehicle Crew Communication Headset, the solution integrates mission-critical audio and visual information into a single user experience, enabling vehicle crews to access communication, navigation, sensor and platform information more intuitively.
The demonstration illustrates how relevant information can be presented within an operator's field of view while maintaining access to critical communications and hearing protection. By combining communications, protection and visual intelligence, the concept supports situational awareness, reduces cognitive workload and helps operators remain focused on mission execution.
"Vehicle crews operate in environments where speed, clarity and reliable communication are critical. By connecting crew communications with relevant visual information, this concept shows how operators can receive the right information at the right moment without adding unnecessary complexity to their work," says Jerry Kettunen, CEO of Savox Communications.
"Working together with Savox allows us to demonstrate how visual intelligence can complement proven communication and hearing protection solutions, creating a more connected operating picture for defense users," says Urho Konttori, CEO and Co-Founder of Distance Technologies.
The demonstration highlights how future vehicle crew systems can bring communications, protection and situational awareness technologies together into a coherent user experience that supports decision-making in demanding operational environments.
